Zebbidiah smiled kindly as his uncle snapped out of his own haze, icy blue eyes surveying the black wolf carefully. The zinc brute could tell that he was in a troubled state of mind. Thinking on it, he could see why. He hadn't seen or heard of Kumiko being around and Zeb hadn't seen any of his cousins.. That meant that Black Shadows was probably very lonely. Zeb avoided his urge to frown, clearing his throat heavily to answer his uncle's questions.
"Well," he stared, a depressed tone to his words. "Well, her name is Vanity. However, I doubt you will meet her." Zebbidiah sighed heavily. "She's left me. I thought she would stay at first, but..." The brute trailed off, frowning sadly. Forcing a smile, the zinc wolf's tail twitched by his ankles. "We had three little girls. Syn, Sine, and Murder. She named them... Syn's with me, Sine was stillborn, and Murder.. She took Murder." Tears started to well up in his eyes, but he dried them on his own shoulder. "My father doesn't know of this," he said, casting his icy gaze away. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell him. I will when I'm ready, which will be soon."
He looked back, the white and silver pup was still hiding behind his legs. Zeb chuckled, tilting his head to his daughter. "There's no need to be shy, he's your great uncle," Zeb said to her softly. "Great Uncle Black." The pup looked at him with her pale green eyes and stepped out from behind her father's cover. Carefully and slowly she walked up to the large black hybrid.
"H-hello," came Syn's small voice. The pup sat down heavily, looking away. She wondered where Murder was, wishing her sister could be here too.
