The nuzzle had taken the wolfess by surprise, having been distracted by the sound of flight about. But when Taboo's touch registered in her mind, she smiled and eased her muscles. It had been so long since she'd seen him. She began to answer, mouth opening, but the gryffon landed and she silenced for his report.
The white wolf took only a moment to think, golden eyes hollowing lightly in the action. "Youshinu, when you are done with Taboo's tasks, and only when you are done, seek out Apostle. I fear that my influence as a mother is weak on her, yet your sharp wit may be what it takes to get through to her. I believe you may find her in the Shama Forest."
She turned to Taboo, eyes showing regret the fact that they may not be spending much time together in the coming days. War meant battle, battle meant time. “Cloud, then… Perhaps we should reach him before Lestat does.” There was a pause where all she did was stare at the black wolf through the short distance that separated them. “Maybe we should leave a couple pack members here to hold down the lands and go look for him together?”
