The golden dingo stepped forward as the large wolf arrived, his peridot-coloured eyes taking him in carefully. "I don't ask much; I just want to join your pack." He lifted his chin slightly, his voice somewhat soft in its youth as he spoke, yet clear and free of any quivering. He turned, gazing back at the hyena behind him, still unsure if Cu Sith's intentions were to stay or leave.
The hyena in question sat still a moment, allowing the cool breeze to stir his long coat as he contemplated. In feeling the night's air, he could see the weather was warming, very slightly, but still, the winter should no longer be so cold. His deep gray eyes shifted as he noticed Ganymede's gaze had turned on him, and the corners of his broad muzzle curled up marginally. Slowly rising, he padded towards where Ganymede stood, fractionally behind the dingo as to not divert attention, and dipped his head a fraction. "I, too, desire a place to stay."
The comment alone slightly startled Ganymede, yet at the same time, relieved the golden dingo. It was good to have something familiar with him; but Cu Sith's next comment was to subtract from the relief of Ganymede. "I cannot say I will be found in the lands very often, I have... renegade tendencies." A slight smile. He wouldn't even be in these lands if he didn't have a habit of straying off to find new worlds to explore. The hyena shifted expressions, his countenance growing more serious as he spoke again. "Still, you have my word that I will take your side, dependless on the interests... that is, if you choose not to abuse my... loyalty." Another small smirk, followed by a chuckle.
Ganymede shifted impatiently and rolled his eyes, not finding any of Cu Sith's expressions humorous. While the hyena characteristically always found something to laugh at in what he said, Ganymede would have to tear apart the phrases to really understand. He simply didn't get that what Cu Sith was saying were not jokes, simply bits and pieces of irony that the hyena got a kick out of. "Are you done?" Ganymede asked impatiently, slightly surprising Cu Sith, who first frowned, then chuckled silently.
"Somebody is having a bad day...."
"ANYWAYS," Ganymede intervened. "You have yet to hear our names, and I've yet to hear yours." He dipped his head to imitate Cu Sith's earlier gesture. "I am Ganymede."
"And my name is Cu Sith," the hyena added, his dark eyes flicking from the wolf to the dingo, attempting to sense any hints of approval or disaproval. He would keep Ganymede happy by no longer intervening... if he could help it. The wild dog's tempers did not anger him in the least; the dingo was young, and able to have this demeanor. But in becoming older, it would grow unacceptable... but Cu Sith could count on strangers to correct this. While the lessons may be cruel that way, they were more memorable.
