She was not in the best of moods, golden eyes glowing ominously in the light of the waning moon. Only two out of four of the new litter were accounted for. The white wolf circled the den on golden paws, not wanting her children to escape without her knowing. Terra knew she wouldn't have to worry about Midnight Kiss, but Apostle was already rebellious and wandered on her own far too much. The golden pup seemed to think that just because she was blessed with more magic than the rest of the litter that she could stroll off wherever she please. Terra did not like the thought of her youngest child being somewhere unprotected without supervision, yet Apostle slipped away time after time. Why was being a mother so hard for her when it came so easy to others!? The wolfess growled miserable to herself, picking up her pace to a gliding jog.
The fey's thick white coat bristled a bit as she thought of all the current happenings in her family. Terra just couldn't understand for the life of her why she was such a miserable failure when it came to parenting. Itachi and Zebbidiah never even came to see her much these days, keeping the few meetings they did grace her with brief. Avea was a whole different story, one that confused the white wolf to no end. One moment her oldest daughter was vicious and blood thirsty, the next she's being scolded by her step-daughter for trying to chase her away from a pup! Could Terra really be blamed for attacking Avea off instinct? Only days before, the deranged hybrid had tried to kill that very pup.
So now it was down to Midnight Kiss and Apostle, Taboo currently in charge of Inari and Sayuri. Midnight Kiss hadn't spoken since birth and was rather shy, always listening to what she was told, and Apostle was too strong and rebellious and worked as hard as she could to escape her mother's watchful gaze. They were like night and day...
Terra was beginning to get tired, snarling to herself and lashing her golden tipped tail in anger. She couldn't sleep, couldn't eat.. Not until one of the boys got home to babysit for her. It's not that she wouldn't let the pups out of the den, but she still needed to keep a watch on them at all times. The fey didn't want anything happening to them as it did the first three.. No, that wouldn't do. So, instead, Terra kept jogging in a circle around the den; snarling, growling, and shaking out her coat every once in a while to keep herself awake.
