The stars where fading into the lavender line that progressed slowly through the midnight blue. Soon, all but the brightest stars would be gone and orange would chase the lavender away. "Well," Avea began, voice taking a sad turn. "It started as it always does," she said with a quick glance at her father. "I came home." Her tail swished, covering her muddy white paws. She would have to clean them later. "And I went straight to the den where I found Midnight. I talked to her and brought her out to play. Did you know she had been left alone in there?" The great mix gave Taboo an accusing stare. She'd like to know where the other two pups where, knowing Sayuri had been with NC, but would continue with her story. Looking back to the sky, she continued, voice growing more steady and rather detached. "Then I saw mother running towards me, snarling, and I heard Unknown yell something. I don't know what she said to mother, but I think it was about me. Anyway, Unknown got it Ter-Mother's way, and mother attacked her. I don't think she meant to hurt Unknown, but I went to stop her because I knew Unknown would not stop unless Mother killed her, and I wouldn't let that happen. Unknown didn't want me to get involved, so she shot fire between Mother and I, but I jumped through it to stop her anyway." Avea stood and glanced at her back right leg which was still seeping blood from two punctures. The fur was tinged with a bright red all around and on her stomach where it had just rested. "She bit me, then I grabbed her muzzle and threw her off. That's when that stranger, Calium showed up. None of us saw, heard, or smelled him coming. He just kind of appeared from the shadows and scolded us for acting like rabid mutts.. Not that I really blame him... You showed up shortly after, so you know the rest." She sat back down, starting to feel the pain from the battle. Avea knew she had bruised a couple of ribs by knocking into Terra at full speed, but for some reason, her shoulders hurt. They hurt a lot. It was as it something was stabbing, not in, but out of her body. She stretched out on her forepaws to try and sooth the pain, but it didn't work. Oh well, she would have to rest it off later. "Where did Nightmare that Yuri?" she asked her father, more out of curiosity than worry.

Avea's deep blue eyes bored holes through Taboo's face where his icy eyes belonged. "Only when I cry," she answered his question rather coldly. The black and white mix turned her head to wipe off the dried dirt from her cheeks. She did not enjoy being dirty.. at all.
