Posted by Avea, Terra, and Calium on October 14, 2007, 1:55 am, in reply to "~{/*\}Am I Invisible?{/*\}~" Terra jumped away from the flames, feeling the heat swell around her as the night erupted with orange light. She made to leap at the other fem again, jaws wide open and aimed for Unknown's shoulder. \\The shadow watched with crimson eyes in disgust. What had his homeland come to?// Avea was closing in as the fire flew up between she and her mother. She didn't stop, she couldn't. The great mix leaped through the flames, fur resisting the singing licks by speed. Her aim was perfect as she slammed into the white wolfess, intercepting her attack on Unknown. \\The shadow lurked in she shadows by the flames, he came close and they would not notice. His nose wrinkled with disgust, he felt a weight thought the shame was not his// Terra fell to the ground, unable to get to her feet for the heavy mass of fur and muscle on top of her. She struggled, and, before the large fem could do any damage, was able to squirm out from under her. She would not have time to stand yet. Her maw snapped at her daughter's paw, coming in contact. \\Kuna needed to be reformed, and it would be up to him// Avea felt the fangs as the bore into her rear leg, but she made no yelp. Avea turned her head to the wound and to her mother's maw in her own, shaking it until the white wolfess let go, then gave one muscular movement to throw the wolfess. \\Now was the time. The shadow moved through the flames as the died down, crimson stripes blazing in the low, orange light. His blood red eyes gleamed in the darkness, ebbon fur foggy against the black backdrop. His pace was slow and deliberate, frame held low. It was icy and oily, the way he moved, a stride that could cause fear to those vulnerable. This was his stage, these lands he knew so well and the night with all its magic.// What brings wolves so low to attack their blood on lands that were made to shelter? \\His voice was soft and commanding, the diabolic tone of something more than evil.// Terra stood slowly from where she landed after Avea's toss. Blood dripped from her maw, but she hardly noticed. A voice hissed through the darkness, a voice that froze her to the spot. She'd never heard it before, a stranger. How did someone get inside without notice? How did he get so CLOSE!? "W-who?" Terra managed, eyes narrowing to separate the figure from the dark. It was useless. The figure seemed nothing but a voice and crimson stripes and eyes. A quiver ran through the white wolfess.. It was the strangest feeling she'd ever had. She wasn't afraid, but more.... aware. \\The shadow stopped very near the white wolf, bending his crania down to meet her eyes. His figure was exposed, a chiseled shape of average sized onyx and blood red, young but far from adolescence. The face held no emotion, but the eyes. The brilliant pools of blood held a hate and viciousness honorable of Diablo.// Who is a word by which one may use to dull or amplify fear. It holds no meaning. What I am is your only hope to salvage what is left of your pathetic excuse of a pack. It pains me to see what was once a glorious pack of darkness governed by a wise and lawful alphess turned to chaos and meaningless bloodshed. I do not seek to obtain, only to restore. For my past called me here, and now I know why. \\He waited. Waited for someone to act, to do something. He may not be welcome, but they would be forced to tolerate his presence until he was satisfied Kuna was healed. Looking up, he scanned the barren wasteland, replacing it with phantom images of past scenes. He could still see the great pantheress and his father, could still see the great council about the rock which now lay empty, ill-used. Then his eyes fixed on the hybrid fem of black and white. Her expression was like none he'd seen before...// Avea stared back at the brute. His voice entranced her, and, although she knew quite well that he was but a wolf, she couldn't help but feel a tinge of awe. For the moment, she forgot her mother, forgot the fight, forgot Unknown. She stood fully upright and stared into the pools of blood, finding within them a beautiful thing. It was a wisdom and pride that drew her closer. Unlike her mother, she had not been intimidated by the parlor tricks, but the words fascinated her. Restore Kuna to its former glory? Avea walked up to the stranger as he still gazed into her deep blue eyes. She had never considered what Kuna had been before she was born, before her father was Alpha. And now she felt the need to know more. Perhaps this stranger would stay a while? "I'm sure Kuna receives you well," she spoke softly, shooting a glare at her mother. The strange figure just stared back at her, apparently having nothing else to say for the moment. Avea turned to look at her mother, the look of actual sanity almost looked strange on the hybridess. "Get up. Get up and act like an alphess!" The white wolfess narrowed her eyes, but obeyed, shaking the strange feeling off of her. Terra stepped up to the strange wolf, tail held high. She had no doubt that Taboo and Aquiose would be drawn here soon from the commotion. "I am Terra, alphess of the Kuna pack. You have stated your business, so give me your name. I will discuss with the alpha whether or not you are welcome to roam our lands." \\The black and crimson brute switched his stare to the white fem before him, a slight sneer playing on his face.// If you must know, you may call me Calium. And whether or not you grant me passage, I am hear to mend what has been wounded.
