"I need to go to the source. I need to find Shadows of Black Fire." The name seemed quite easy to say, much more so than it had been for Taboo at least. He stepped closer to Taboo, deep zinc pelt shining as he moved from the shadows. "Taboo.. Father," he corrected himself. "I need you to tell me where I might find him. I don't need any accidents that push us further apart than we are." The last of his words were cruelly blunt, but felt so true when he said them. He waited, knowing things could go either way. Taboo would either understand and help him, or blow up and unleash pent up rage on Zebbidiah. He hoped for the latter, knowing that he wouldn't be able to return to Kuna if his father took this the wrong way.

Zebbidiah had heard all he really needed to from Taboo... Now came the tricky part. Zebbidiah stood, staring his icy blue eyes straight into his father's face. How would he make his father understand without feeling betrayed? It seemed almost impossible to do this with a wold who had never understood anything about him before. Finally, Zeb let out the most important of the words. "Don't take this the wrong way," his voice was bracing, a little edgy with nerves.
