Posted by Apostle on August 1, 2007, 3:42 am, in reply to "+Darkness.Rising+" Apostle turned toward her brother and watched him take in the sights. He had seemed angered that she had licked him... The golden fem had simply raised a brow at his growl, wondering why he would be angry for a compliment. She shrugged it off for the moment, focusing her mind on other things. Apostle stood up and stretched, wanting to explore a bit while her mother feigned sleep. She looked to the rock where her eldest brother, Nightmare's Curse, lay. She did not want to go that way just yet in case she got caught. So, instead, Apostle was drawn to the only thing that held some kind of beauty in the area, the lush green forest that was a couple hundred yards away. She saw Zebbidiah laying in the shadows at the edge, but knew she could got into the underbrush out of his sight. The golden pup padded briskly to the forest's shadowed edge, casting her golden eyes back from where she came. She wondered if Inari would be bold enough to follow, staring at him for a few moments.

Apostle turned her golden eyes to all that remained of the group in turn. Her mother was spent, now laying at the entrance to the den with her head on her golden paws. Though the white wolfess' eyes were closed tight, Apostle knew she couldn't possibly sleep after what just happened. The pup's gaze turned next to her sisters, both of which lay on the ground next to each other. They were both scared, shaking as they lay there and Midnight Kiss yelping softly in her sleep. Apostle couldn't help but feel sorry for them. They were frightened mostly by their older sister, Avea. Apostle however, was not. She seemed to understand even at this very young age that fear empowered the feared. With this thought, she then turned to Inari. Besides herself and their older brothers, Inari had been the only one that didn't show fear when the black and white hybrid lunged at Middy. He was definitely one of her more interesting siblings. Possibly just under Zebbidiah with his changing eyes and Avea with her deranged mind.
