He sniffed the same air as his sister, realizing the only scent that she would have taken interest in. Itachi was in danger. As she made to pass him, the zinc brute struck out with a paw, slicing her square on the nose with a couple claws. Avea yelped at the sudden burst of pain, rubbing her nose violently with her paws to relieve the burning. It wouldn't help, the cuts were too deep. She rose slowly to her fullest height and glared at her brother. Blood was dripping steadily from two gashes on her nose, rolling down her jaw and staining the white of her chest. The whit, black, and now crimson fem narrowed her eyes, losing the amusement they usually held. "You're not far along," she spat through the blood that poured into her mouth. Zebbidiah gave a laugh of pitty. "Every time you take a drink, you'll remember this moment," he said with a fiendish smirk. He knew he had won a major part of the war today. "You leave Itachi be or I'll finish what I started." Zebbidiah turned and started padding away gracefully. He was angry and didn't really want to be surrounded by his family at the moment. Unbeknownst to him, his eyes had taken a deep crimson hue during his monologue, blood boiling hot inside. All he knew was it was getting hard to control his actions. Avea watched Zebbidiah trot off, getting angry with herself. How could she let him surpass her? How had he gotten the upper hand on her like that? The thought of possibly being second best was absolutely nerve wracking! With a growl, Avea turned on her heels and continued toward Itachi. Maybe she couldn't harm him now, but a good talk would do her some good. Terra was left with Taboo, Nightmare, and the pups, breathless. It was petrifying seeing her children act the way they did. Zebbidiah had nearly frightened her into a cowering state with his actions. This was saying a lot coming from the white fem that had fought brutally in a war and muscled her way around strangers. She stood there, wordless, hardly noticing Apostle curling into a ball at her feet. Terra was trancelike, staring into the distance where Zebbidiah had disappeared. Was it her, or did his eyes change color? It made him all the more scarier, having that in common with his father. She loved her son, but sometimes he felt so alien... Midnight whined behind Taboo, frightened a bit by all the yelling and action. She leaned close into her father, wishing she could almost become a part of him.

Avea looked from Zebbidiah, to Taboo, then finally to Nightmare's Curse, deep blue eyes filled with a wild humor. It was all just a game. It would end some day, probably far from now. But it was still just a game. She straightened up, knowing that trying to fight off her brothers, father, and mother would be useless. She needed them on their own, one by one... And she desperately wanted to start with Itachi. Ignoring the angry wolves in front of her, she scanned the pack land, sniffing the air thoroughly. She found it, Itachi's scent. It was faint, but she would make due with it. The black and white fem began to trot off in the direction.
