Posted by Terra, Zebbidiah and Pups on July 28, 2007, 3:58 am The little cave-like hole was softened with Avea, Itaci and Zebbidiah's fur, making it cozy and comfortable. The fur also kept the ground a bit dryer than it otherwise would have been. The size was large for a puppy den, but strong and well shaped. There were no corners for a pup to hide in, nor were there any dangerous rocks or lingering roots to possibly hurt the inhabitants. It was perfect. Terra climbed back out of the den, smile emblazoned on her maw. She nuzzled the little balls of fluff, hearing their whines of protest at being poked about. The white wolfess gave a giddy giggle and wagged her tail. With a carelessly placed lick to each pup, Terra lay down beside them to wait for Taboo with the other two. In the meantime, what about names? Taboo and she had been in agreement that they could each name two.. Terra pondered for a moment, coming to a decision for her two daughters present. She smiled to herself, not able to wait until she revealed them to their father. The only worry in her mind was where Avea had gone to. Her eldest blood daughter had not shown her deranged self in a while. Terra wondered what she was plotting or whether her daughter knew about the new pups. The thought that Zebbidiah was around calmed her thought slightly, knowing that the young zinc brute would protect his younger siblings with all his life. Speaking of her beloved son, he wasn't far away.. Still laying where she had seen him last. He must have been waiting for something... Shrugging it off, Terra gave a wolfish bark to her son. The polished zinc wolf shook himself away, unaware that he had ever dozed off. His mother's bark had shocked him out of the dreamless sleep he had been having lately. He stood up slowly, blinking his icy blue eyes into focus. Looking over at his mother, he wagged his tail at the sight of the pups. Though he didn't show it on the outside, Zebbidiah was excited by the concept of littler siblings. He trotted over quickly to his mother and sisters with a single wag of his tail. Zeb bent his nose down to the gold and black fuzzballs and sniffed them carefully. He did not do more, knowing how protective Terra had been of he and his other siblings at that age. He sat down and spoke to his mother in the emotionless voice he had usually. "So, what are their names?" Terra looked up at her son with a smirk. "I'm not telling anyone before I tell Taboo." She cast her eyes back to the area she had entered from, waiting for her mate patiently as she could.

Terra padded into the pack lands, two balls of fur held carefully in her muzzle. Heading straight for the den, the white wolfess was full of new joy, absolutely glowing. Her golden paws carried her to the place just beyond the boulder that acted as the center of pack activity, a little hole in the side of a hill where they had raised the first litter of pups. She set the fuzzballs on the ground at the mouth of the den, on black one shimmery gold, and crawled inside the opening to inspect it for use.
