Leonardo looked at the strangers and then returned her mate's smile with a lick on the forehead. He sniffed the air, his black nostrils moving in a steady pattern, and sighed. It seemed that this land was empty and deserted.
"Suppose one of us should be the next alpha?" Leonardo said to the strangers and his mate. "Instead of moving, maybe we can have a vote and wait before anyone else it to show."
