Since you're go'in for a new mac lapt.. why not buy a Mbox bad boy! I got one and it killed more than two birds with one stone! It is prt'ls is so simple as a sequencer for audio editing and timing and midi! I haven't been happy with Logic and then buying recording hardware and midi etc. I'd said hey this thing rocks software and an interface I also have a midiman 2x2 but have never opened the box for over the 8 montbs i've had it. I recommend instead of the softsampler/and knob controller the new Reaktor which uses direct connect into prt'ls as a virtual what ever you want Reaktor to be. Best part is People don't really know how bad Reaktor is I play all my instruments/samplers/ whatever with the same keybord I'm writing you wit. Adaptec toast man! Peace D'n'b Don' Ellington!
