echo products have had a questionable reputation 3 years ago. Today I'd by a Echo. Top rated pci a/d card by N.I., Steinberg, etc.- noted that the echo "mia" for about <200(U.S.) rated at number 2! With latency down to 3ms on some machines (pc's,mac)-these are great stats -of course while chatting with a friend @N.I. -I had to know what rated #1? --"Hammerfal" top the tops on all the marks in performance but it's all digital outs only appeal to those with converter such as Motu, Apogee, etc. So actually sound quality was not an issue in thus rating competition as sound quality wasn't measured- simply performance. Echo is something I'd look into if I need a audio card.
