Posted by ae5 depends on the plug in. all the major ones are either already osx native or will be within a month or two, and any plug in that wants any kind of future life will also eventually be osx native. people need to kiss os9 goodbye, it's kind of an akward transition for developers but osx is actually alot easier to develop for, it's just completely different from os9, and it's midi features are ####ing amazing, and designed to make audio better for us producers across the board, no matter what host program or plug in or whatever that you use, it is a leap forward. : Maybe the situtation has changed, i don't know about the situation with quark so i can't comment on that but the thing is, new mac's ONLY boot in osx, people have to shape up or ship out now, developers want to sell software, so they're going to have to make their software for osx, there is no point in building everything up around os9, which has no future, might as well get an osx only mac, hell, i'm making mine osx only as soon as i get a few key pieces of software (like next week when i order digital performer 4) : I really can't wait to fvck with they had to give users and developers a kick in the pants to switch over. i think it was a smart move actually. people were lagging with their osx development big time, and in turn users were not switching over to osx as all their important applications ran in only os9.
