Posted by oTo There are many ways to configure a studio with software. A great way to do it, but probably out of your price range at this time, would be to use protools for all your audio, and sequence with your choice of cubase or logic or performer, etc. Some people will use just one program, like cubase or logic, for everything. Some will use cubase or logic with softsynth plug-ins & no outboard gear. My set-up is cubase on two computers; one drives synths & e6400 ultra and one records audio. My synths go through a 01v & thence to various signal processors & thence through an Aardvark Q10 soundcard (which also has word clock). Haven't written a dnb tune in years; got a band now. The setup is still useful, though. --Previous Message--

Mastering can work wonders, but it can't make bombs out of shite. Except for the bigger producers, most have to master their own stuff, or send out a fairly complete & uncompressed track for mastering by someone who specializes in that.
: : ok then what programs do you recomend
: and doesint the bomb sound come
: after your done at home and move
: into the studio for mastering.
