Posted by ae5 and do not fear the osx only mac's, everything is now finally catching up to osx and osx is THEE SHIT for audio just from the initial ####ing around i do (core audio=you set your midi shit up once by just installing the osx driver and then ALL your software sees it as soon as you plug it in, very nice) logic is osx native, cubase is osx native, digital performer is osx native (at the beginning of april) max msp has their osx beta out, planning on a full release i believe in april, reaktor 4 is osx native, moog modular v is osx native, they have osx drivers for all motu's hardware, even games, like unreal tournament 2003 and everquest are comming out for osx soon. osx is definately starting to prove it's bad assness, don't believe all the negative hype, there is alot of frustration that it took 2-3 years for this os to get it's act together and deliver what was promised. as soon as all those things are osx native i'm wiping os9 off my machine and doing a clean install of only osx so as to not clutter anything. and i hope you know better than to get a dell.

now is a fine time to buy a mac. and yes they will always make them faster and better, that's a tough pill you're just going to have to swallow when buying any computer
