I know I've learned a lot of sh1t from here that works GREAT on different types of music. The main thing IMHO, is that "more open" is a good thing... board OR music-wise. It was bad enough when only hard, dark floor sh!t or Liquid Funk or whatever trendy sh1t was worthy of any comment... but in the end, people get bored of the formulas and same sounds and move on... seems like another niche genre that defined itself into a corner (other than the sick ass shit on the fringes, anyway... big up Sileni!). I'll bet a lot of gold-rush producers had given up once they figured out that you don't make money from DnB (unless you're a shady distributor, anyway). Not necessarily anyone here, but it seems a lot of bandwagoners have suddenly disappeared... bet they're off making Electroclash now. =P Ah well... I still check this place... but that's probably more due to my OCD than anything else. =S huh... Wasn't there already a "is this board dead?" post from last fall?

Yeah this place was great for a long time... but maybe the slow-down (stall?) is indicative of DnB in general (least in the states?). I know the scenesters are fighting over crumbs out this way, and it's looking really desperate. But then I haven't been paying attention for over a year, so who knows.
