Great points on Ford. He has to have a living room of broken beer bottles right now. Archived Message

A week ago he was set up to be king shit in St. Louis recruiting. Now today he's got Martin on one side and Underwood on the other side picking his pocket for the best talent in St. Louis at a time when that talent is at an all-time high. SLU's rebuild may have just come to a drastic halt..... although I'd like to see them trump Martin on the recruiting trail in the number two spot....eff methzoo

My hope is that his offense is perfect for Te'Jon Lucas and Trent Frazier. Lucas was a very good defender and passer and with Frazier's quickness and scoring ability, I would think they both can excel on both offense and defense.

I hope we can get Mark Smith to sign, he seems to have great three point shooting range and Underwood's teams shoot the trey quite a bit. I think he and JCL at the 2 and 3 would fit the offense nicely, especially with Smith being able to handle the ball so well.

With Smith, we would have a log jam of guards. Lucas, Frazier, Smith, JCL, Pickett, Williams and Jordan make 7 guards. Nichols and DJW are wings who can help at the 4. I could see some 4 guard lineups at times.

I wonder if Jordan and DJW will stay with the team? Supposedly, OSU has a 6'6" 5th year senior next year who shot 45% on treys scored 17 ppg. I wonder if he might do the 5 year senior transfer and follow Coach Underwood to CU? He could replace Malcolm very nicely.

This offense should also be a good fit for Michael Finke, but I fear we may have to use him some at center next year.

Lastly, all year long in the St. Louis area, the media has been gushing over the recruiting of Travis Ford. I love the fact that Illinois hired the guy who replaced Ford at OSU and took a squad that underachieved with a 12-20 record and turned it into 20-12 before the NCAA tournament.

It is such a good feeling, knowing that about one year ago, we had Bill Cubit and John Groce as our football and basketball head coaches. Now, Lovie Smith and Brad Underwood patrol the sidelines. Now, Lovie Smith and Brad Underwood!!
