Best $150 you'll ever spend. Greg is awesome and likes bourbon and the Illini.

i hired an accountant in 2016 to help with my taxes for 2015. we sent payments to the fed and states.

    i received refunds for all.

as far as turbo tax knows, i paid A to a state, i paid B as a late payment, and my refund of C was greater than B.

i also paid D to a second state, i paid E as a late payment, and my refund of F was greater than E.

i am getting dinged a lot now, with turbo tax saying this (edit: the refunds) is income for 2016.

it's not income. it's my own wallet post-tax dollars that i gave away.

do i just zero out this? did i probably screw something up? is turbo tax incapable of handling this situation?
