the schools typically use the officer to remove unruly kids from a classroom. Otherwise, you have a teacher telling a student to "go to the principal's office (to which the student laughs and wanders the halls) or the teacher leaves a class full of students (probably not even permissable in this day and age) to take the kid there herself. Previous Message and whether or not something is 'unheard of' should not be the standard of whether we should be ok with cops arresting & jailing students for burping during PE.
