that you put into maintaining your own landscaping. Hell, I was jealous of your turf and lack of need to mow, but the upkeep on that tree may just about make up for it. I can mostly just mulch the leaves that my trees drop.
The one time we had an arborist out he described it as a heritage tree…meaning that given its size and structure he estimated it around 100 years old and a wild tree that predates the built environment of the neighborhood.
But it’s a long needled pine tree. It grows like crazy and is messy. To keep things looking nice I have to prune like this ever other year or so and I need to rake needles weekly.
Hate that crap. Removing the limbs is easy enough. But then breaking them down into bag size pieces is a pain in the ass. I thought 3 bags was bad.
Was looking at my other larger tree this morning. Need to do some trimming on it as well.
