Switch to first grade and his big, gay, teacher. His two focuses are reading and responsibility. My son is thriving this year because of his classroom environment. He's made up over a years worth of reading progress by spring break. (He was below grade level starting out the year and is now at end of year level with about 2 months left to go) He looks forward to class and school because he knows what's expected and he knows that his teacher won't take any shit. He expects (demands?) respectfulness, pleases / thank yous / Mr-Mrs-Ms addresses. Hands up, mouths shut. Homework completed and turned in without reminders. Area tidy'ed up. Etc etc.
All they know is that "Mr C is Silly"...because Mr C is most definitely silly as in queer as a 3 dollar bill.
But he's gotten more outta the kids in his class than I've seen with his kindergarten teacher or my daughters K-2 teachers. I just wholeheartedly disagree with you blanket discriminating employment on sex and sexual orientation but realize that's the way you've constructed your worldview and I'm not trynna change your mind.
The father, or at least a butchy 2nd mother needs to fill the disciplinarian role in a child's life....but this is a different topic for a different time....too much basketball to discuss atm.
