if you hear the chord change
you will hear the slight accent on 1
where pablo and i have described it
the keyboard comes in on the & of 4
the chord change is anticipated by that pick-up
you naturally hear the chord change on the 1
(in Ben's version that pick up comes on the & of 2
establishing the chord on 3
that makes no sense, there's no reason for it)
nobody was reading music on this session
but where one feels 1 has an effect on the performance
(hear the accent)
also
if one way is "harder to get your ear around"
it's probably because that's not what it is
horrible track
but i am always interested to dissect
especially rhythm
