Hey all:
I’ve decided to part ways with some effects pedals. I may list ‘em on Amazon but I thought I’d try here first, see if any of you folks want 'em. I know some other people have given a few pedals away here for free but I need the dough and probably wouldn't part with them if I didn't. All but one come in their original boxes and all work and are in very good or excellent cosmetic shape. Here’s the list:
BOSS DS-1 Distortion - $25.00 [this is the one w/o its original box]
When in decent shape, these go for about $30.00 to $40.00 dollars on Amazon. It’s a solid, straightforward distortion pedal that everyone from Kurt Cobain to Daoud Tyler-Ameen has used!
BOSS OS-2 OverDrive/Distortion - $35.00
This was my first pedal ever! I got it when I was thirteen. I was so excited. It served me well for a number of years but I eventually switched to a RAT pedal. This has been gathering dust since then. It sort of pains me to get rid of this but I gotta downsize. These go for around $40.00 in decent used shape on Amazon and they retail from $75.00 to over $100.00.
BOSS BF-2 Flanger - $50.00
Totally alt-rock. These look like they’re going from between $60.00 and $120.00 online. I gave this a lot of use back in the 90’s, used it on the first "studio" recordings I ever made at this place called the Bat Cave back in ’96 or ’97. It has no place in the music I make now but might jive with someone else's jams.
BOSS TR-2 Tremolo - $65.00
Amazon marketplace sellers are selling it used for about $80.00. I think it retails for over $100.00 normally. A great little tremolo pedal. Gives you more flexibility than built-in tremolos, though it may not be quite as warm. (Maybe it depends on the amp you’re using?)
BOSS AC-2 Acoustic Simulator - $50.00
What the ####, right? Surprisingly, it sounds kinda real. Certainly not as good as the real thing, but a decent approximation. I won’t deny the silliness of this pedal but maybe you could use this for something entirely different? Strange vocal sounds? Running an ACOUSTIC through it? A keyboard?? Who knows. Looks like they’re going for anywhere between $65.00 and $120.00 online, so someone thinks they're useful.
In addition to these pedals, I’m selling a Boss BCB-30 Pedal Board. It is a small black plastic carrying case that turns into a pedal board and has room for three Boss pedals. It comes with two small l connecting cables to connect the three pedals (but not the tri-head power splitter that comes with this item "new"). They’re going for $35.00 online but I’m willing to part with it for $15.00, or free if someone wants to buy three or more of these pedals.
If you want any of these things, respond here or send me an email [chris at chrismaher dot net]. I can come drop them off or meet you somewhere to give ‘em to you.
Yours,
Chris
