I'm no authority on this but for what it's worth, while on tour in Syracuse, we stayed with Debbie Dalton who is Nannying for a really cool couple. The mom, who seemed quite liberal and down to earth, is some type of doctor who deals with children and has 2 cute boys of her own. We were talking about this a bit and she said she had done a fair amount of research on the subject and she said though she found it a little annoying that all healthcare workers were "required by law" to get flu shots, she found no conclusive evidence that giving your average kid a flu shot would cause her any long term side effects.
