This is a pretty good idea. I'm still kind of processing. I might work a bit too slow for this. But I might be up for the challenge.
Another one I heard a guy talking about in Austin is where a bunch of musicians put their names into a hat and then groups of 4 are picked randomly and then after a set amount of time (maybe 2 weeks or a month?) the groups have to come up with a half hour or 45 min set of original material as a band. Then have a special showcase night (or nights?) where all the bands would play. The chance to come up with a fun band name or concept band is almost reason enough to wanna do this.
