Glass...I'll say it again...I didn't start this post now did I? And when the mental midgets like Boracho, Willfuldrinkin and Sempercry start getting involved...it all turns into a Gong Show...rapid...that's part of the fun.
You're right, I too have worked all over the world and have had both good and bad experiences everywhere. To date though, and this is only my experience, the conditions, pay, attitude and safety culture have all been the worst in the GOM.
I am not God's gift to diving, and have never claimed to be. I can hold my own against any GOM Diver 1 Hammer, but when these red hat hurricane babies start their verbal diarrhea I can't help myself 
Besides...it's fun as fukk to wind these guys up...and just to easy not to.
