Take harry's advise to heart, chere. The hurricane boon is past and it may well be another 40 years before the GOM sees another triple hit like Katrina, Rita and Ike. With the recession and the decrease in work, the contractors will be getting more selective in who they hire and the hiring requirements will only become more stringent. IF diving is what you intend as your career then now is the time for you to get your life back on tract.
