Re: Crosspost: Spun serum as treatment for parvo
I emailed you the recipe as well as to Lori. I guess I forgot to mention the history of it. About 7 years ago we had someone bring in Parvo to our yard, and we had several young puppies. They were getting sick and dying., and something had to be done fast. Cathie (OKlassic) who is good at searchiing out stuff on the internet, found a site called Ambertech, which sold an alternative medicine for parvo treatment. There is also an Emergency Tea recipe on their site (I think it is www.ambertech.com)The closest distributor of it was a three hour drive, and off I went, got the Parvaid and back home again, by this time some pups were beyond help but with the Parvaid , (and the emergency tea recipe) we managed to save a few. It was expensive and while it was worth the money, I knew I couldnt afford to get more. I adapted a recipe from the ingredients listed in their pamphlet. It is good for just about anything that ails them. or as a immune booster/preventative. I give it to pups a few days before they go to vets for first shots, and also if they are being shipped, I give a few days before to help their immune. I have actually saved sick pups with this recipe. Coccidiosis, and parvo, or just feeling unwell. We have not had ill pupppies (touch wood!) for quite some time now but you just never know, and it is empowering to have something that will help.
I am always happy to share any bits of knowledge I have acquired and conversely, we are always learning something new from others!
