My little angel of a dog had her animal instinct come out today.

The action dog had some action today. I was about to go to work and I heard a noise in the chimney, I got some news papers and set them on fire. All of a sudden a squirrel runs out through the living room and under the couch. Molly's freaking out, I get a broomstick handle pull out the couch, go back and forth with the stick and there he goes with molly right behind it. She grabs a hold of it and the squirrel has a death lock on her nose and snout, she let's out a yelp and the squirrel gets away. I'm looking for the squirrel and can't find it. Then I see my jacket move that was on the back of the chair by the table, I have both doors open close the flu on the chimney, I lift the jacket and there it goes running around, I go outside so it doesn't climb on my leg or get too scared to run past me outside. I am standing outside and all of a sudden the squirrel is headed right towards me out the kitchen door with Molly right behind it, Molly grabs a hold of it and shakes it and it's lights out for the squirrel.
Molly is bleeding from her face, I wipe it with rubbing alcohol, take her to the vet, they give her a rabies booster shot just in case but said chances are the squirrel is not rabid.
The funny thing is, when she is outside she can careless about the squirrels. I even take her to my aunt's house and there are 3 cats there. She doesn't even pay any mind to the cats, I thought I had this mellow dog, which is nice. I guess she is queen of the house and doesn't want other animals in her territory.
