Actually, yes, I have some books I can reference for that. The term primarily was more my wording that any one book, but that was the just of the books. You have to wait though until my books are returned to me as I sent them to california for an expo to be on display.
As far as the markings, it seemed to come with the breeding and supposedly per dog fighters of the olde that I have spoken to personally BUT NEVER JOINED IN WITH. It was a preference of wanting Boston Terriers, either finding them in the street, breeding their own buying a litter for super cheap, or stealing them when the owners was not paying attention because they were the best to teach with. That is not in any book I know, but has been told to me by a couple of gentlemen who at one time or another partook in dog fighting more than just leisurely.
