They only allow kennels that have a certain amount of show experience (through IOEBA and UCA) to hold a show. Most TX, AZ, and in between kennels would meet that requirement because they've been to several shows and know how it goes. But the Canadian kennels have never been to a show, so have nothing to base off of. A club would coordinate with the registry and Terri for all of the show specs so as to accomplish the show process.
Actually, the show in July was the first time that a kennel had been allowed to "host" a show. I know that there's another set of kennels that are looking at holding a show as well. But it all stems from their experience in show planning that they've done already through their clubs and the amount of shows that they've attended and participated in. ![]()
