Hi Cathie, thankx! Yes generally any bad storm will by pass us, and we would have been okay except for that huge tree in our front yard, which is now totally cut down except for a giant sized stump. It seems strange to not see that old tree there but it was an accident waiting to happen. We were certainly fortunate compated to the people north of Toronto who had extensive tornado damage.
Yes it is inconvenient being without power, especially the lack of the pressure system for water. Yes we are hauling water from Thomasburg, Not sure when we will be able to get power back on, it will depend on if we need to get any wiring repaired, so I dunno what that might cost!!
We have a generator loaned from neighbour, but I have been heating water and cooking on the outdoor stove and fire pit. Candles and battery power at night, no TV or internet! Just like the olden days, LOL.
Also my neice from Saskatchewan is arriving tomorrow night for a three day visit!
