Hi Becky,
I was wondering if Ivy was pregnant because she had an unconventional breeding. The stud had some trouble and we ended up just inserting his penis into her vulva about an inch and holding them that way. But I eventually took her in for an ultrasound, and there are no pups in there :^( So I guess that answered my questions!
We are going to try again in October. We are thinking of trying an AI if he still has trouble. I'd prefer a natural breeding---any hints on how to accomplish that? He's taller than she is, and when he'd poke her, she'd give a little yip and he'd get scared and back off. He wouldn't mount her if we tried to interfere.
