JaNae welcome to the board. I think you will benefit from some of the discussions we have here. The dog we call the OBB reminds me a lot of the OEB in that they represent a functional approach to the Bulldog of old.Todays OBB can for the most part be traced back to Neil Rutan who did a lot of work to establish his line and now with his passing is now being done by his son.The Rutan breed dogs are very hardy and are often used for hunting and tend to have a higher prey drive.Charels McCaughin is another name you will see in pedigrees he had his own line in Oklahoma I believe.Since his passing Wayne and Nicki from Gootimes kennel in Canada have been able to acquire and add his blood to there own lines.I am sure you have seen CH.Kodiak from Wired Kennels before he is a awesome looking dog and is from the Henley line of dogs his brother Champ is at Roundhead kennels and they represent the nice bully looking OBB.James or Becky can give you more details about the history of the Henley lines to.I think the OBB has basically been around for a wile maybe not by that exact name but more in the idea of a 20-40 bulldog not to big not to small capible of keeping the varmints in check but no to crazy to be a household pet.In my own experience with different bully breeds I have eather had or been around I think the OBB finds a nice place for today a classic look with the ability to go for a jog or a workout and a intelligent animal to boot.My male Buddha ring the bell on the back door to let us know he wants out.And my females are always up to something around here.I am sure I have missed out on something but I hope this help a little maybe James from Wired or Nicki from Gootimes can help fill in the details a little better.
