It's a very simple stance for me to take. The more foreigners infiltrate the British game the fewer places there are for British born players hence the poor performance of British International teams. I believe in fair play and if I were a 16 year old talented footballer born in this country who was kept out of playing for his team due to the presence of foreign imports I would feel aggrieved. To have a contrary view could result in teams being fully comprised of players born in other countries and where would that leave us. People might then say there should be a maximum quota of foreigners but who would then have the responsibility of fixing the quota and by what criteria. It's the same with nationality - how many tennis players are classed as British when they are born abroad. It's happening in squash now with 2 of the leading players in the world who are Egyptian now representing England and don't get me started with cricket - Dexter,Cowdrey,Hussain,Stokes,Greig etc. etc. etc. etc. In sport generally,English players year by year have a much less chance of representing their country.
