My personal feelings are it’s a mixture of many things. At the moment we are in a play off spot, and have improved no end points wise since Unsworth left. Performances at home especially are shocking and the points we have dropped at home before and after Unsworth left are very worrying. Has anyone got the answer, even MM can’t suss it out.
Some of us were saying we could drop down again with the poor start to the season, that isn’t going to happen now.
MM IMO ( with a great deal of help from Tommo) has changed it round, we are all desperate for promotion, MM will be staying whether we get that promotion or not, we have to believe in him or we are back to the roundabout.
MM is not the messiah, and he has got a lot of stuff wrong but he has got a lot of stuff right too.
What can he do if he keeps repeating to the players ‘keep the ball on the deck’ and they don’t, your snookered, players are on 12, 18, month contracts, you can’t change the players every week! or the managers for that matter.
Some of Mellons tactics and team selections have been bizarre to say the least but a huge one for me is his refusal to be more adventurous at home, BP when rocking was the most intimidating atmosphere you could get, let the shackles off MM and the crowd will do the rest.
MM has to show some bottle and let the players express themselves at home before it’s too late.
