I was talking to my Uncle who lives in New Stuyahok, and he stated that this year(spring) he set out a net for white fish. They start to run in the spring, will he said this year no white fish or pike, but he caught a lot of sucker fish. Another thing he said was he hasn't seen caribou for two years now. I live in Aleknagik and I haven't seen caribou for about two year in our area. Usually we see caribou when we are trapping or hunting in the spring. My uncle also said that there are a lot of moose on the river; which is abnormal for them to hanging around the river this time of year. Could be more wolves around but the hunters or trappers have been trapping them. I keep thinking that its the mine activity (Pebble Project)that is affecting the caribou and moose. But what about the white fish that could be climate change. Tina L. Carr
