Hello - this article about the cold summer came out today in anchorage daily news http://www.adn.com/anchorage/story/464849.html . it is a lot about anchorage area but also is about the weather patterns that are affecting most of the whole state the same way, including western and interior. there is a little more on some of the weather patterns they talk about in the climate 101 tutorial at nunat. go to nunat home page and click on climate change. western alaska is affected by same things as anchroage. yes it is same here - some of the berries i wonder if they will come out and things are taking long to come out. plus we do not have enough rain even though it is cloudy and cold all the time.
