Here the researchers were studying pleiotrophy using a gene whose alleles separate foragers from sitters in fruit flies. They concluded that this gene which heretofore had been considered to be a gene for food seeking may be more a gene for aggression primarily. This seems consistent with NPA theory where the 3 traits are the prime considerations and shape the clay of human functions and needs.
