Here a DRD2 snp as well as a serotonin receptior showed a relationship to schizophrenia. The DRD2 one that is protective is most common in Africa and least common in European populations. The serotonin receptor, only nominally significant after statistical correction, is protective and most common in Africa and almost nonexistant in other populations.
So in this Armenian population with significant A/A- and P traits, and much less N individuals, these findings may be due to populatin stratification and may not be reproducible in other population?
