Unlike many personality systems, NPA uses the term "temperament" to denote a quality similar to "volume" on a TV set. In looking at N types one can clearly see low temperament as distinct from high temperament types since low temperament types speak often so quietly that one has to strain to hear them while high temperament types are loud and brassy and the happiest acting of all types.
It appears that COMT met could explain the low temperament N.
The question is : Is temperament a dichotamous variable or is it a continuous variable? If it is dichotamous then the search for a single gene cause could yield results while if it's continuous there would be many many genes that are acting on the temperament variable?
And if temperament is dichotamous could one gene cause temperament in any NPA type?
