Aside from a few presidents, whose IQ we can be sure of, that's all speculative hogwash. The most valid tool for determining IQ is the IQ test. Those assessments are based upon analysis of writing samples, speeches and college work. That's only good for measuring intellect. They are guesses based upon estimations based upon empirically unvalidated tools for measuring IQ. Maybe some of the less verbally articulate presidents chose to communicate in more simple fashion in order to convey ideas to a masses with an average IQ. There are many variables those assessments don't control for. Personality styles may also come across more intelligent or put stronger emphasis on intellect than other personality styles. Intellectual development and intelligent quotient are two very different things. That distinction gets lost in the assessment, though.
