Below are results of the NPA personality test for a male subject aged 51-60 years old.

The computer output is character type NP with a low S score = 27.
Deafness is a condition that one could easily imagine could have an impact on personality factors. Indeed, the NPA model posits that the three NPA traits are only a framework on which many other personality factors – of both genetic and environmental origin – are overlaid.
In this test, the NPA test result is “NP type”. However, as we have noted in the past, introversion can be the basis of an introspective personality structure, and if the genetic P trait is lacking, this could consequently be the basis of “pseudo-perfectionism”. So, in subjects with deafness we should be alert to the possibility that the subjects might respond to questions of the NPA test in a manner that is different from other subjects (note the low-ish R score in the subject’s test).
