On the other hand, here the non-Perfectionism candidate gene, 5HTT long allele, was associated with idiopathic apparent life-threatening events, this agreeing with other research where the same allele was associated with sudden infant death syndrome. So, it appears that non-Perfectionism has some association with some loss of life.
Other associated factors for sudden infant death syndrome include smoking and allowing the infant to sleep on his front.
Clinically, it appears to me that the association is with individuals of NPA type N.
