Many genes have shown small effect size association with OCD. Here, our candidate gene for Perfectionism, 5HTT, showed association. In males there was also association with COMT and MAOA. (Since COMT and MAOA have known sexual dimorphism, this would not be unexpected).
So, it does appear consistent that Perfectionism in NPA theory would have some relationship with OCD. And, Submissiveness and Aggression genes (COMT and MAOA) would be of some association, perhaps.
In any association studies with mental health diagnoses, there are confusions related to the heterogeneity of the diagnostic criteria.
