Here we see that the non-Submissiveness candidate gene, COMT val was associated with delay discounting, a kind of lack of tendancy to accept delayed gratification.
This seems consistent with A- trait, since this trait is noted to make the individual prone to accept unrewarding pursuits. An example would be that a Submissive individual holds on to relationships that offer him very little in return for what he is willing to give to the relationship.
