Many suspect that Perfectionism is getting less and less frequent worldwide. Here's just one sign: hat wearing, especially male hate wearing. I remember well my grandfather always wore a fedora. But one doesn't see this anymore.
Why could the hat be a sign of perfectionism. Just as the lampshade modulates the light generated in the lamp, so the hat modulates (figuratively and symbolically, of course) the head of the perfectionistic person.
