To standardize the comparison with per capita income and allelic frequencies, we would have to use the hapmap data so, although much data is becoming available on specific countries and their allele frequencies for these genes, we may need to look at hapmap regions instead of specific countries for comparison. That is, we would use African Americans in southwest USA, MExican Americans in Los ANgeles, Han Chinese, etc., etc.
