I hated the whole madilne in Charleston thing with some ret butler wanna be trying to court her. 3 over all followed the book well. One can say it was too western feeling but I got the same feeling in the book. The novel focused primarily on charley witch I thought was good. charley was my favorite character in the story because I got to seem him from childhood out cast to southern gentlemen to hunted warrior. Cooper was my second favorite character because I loved his evolution through out the story. I do wish he would have been included in the first two films because by book three he is just cold and hateful but we dont know why
therefore we cant sympathize with his character the way we should. The only other problem I had with the 3rd film besides the adding is the actor change of charley. I think this guy did a good job but it was like Val kilmer playing batman in the 3rd film. He was good but I think of batman as Michel Kenton
strangely though billys actor change didnt bother me nor did Isabels I guess its just I didnt really have a big connection with them.

You can say what you want about part three of the mini series. And a lot of what is being said is true the acting wasnt the greatest in this one but I re-watching part one and two (especially part 1) there were moments when the acting was bad as well. I am speaking mainly of a lot of the dialog at west point. It seemed forced and unnatural like they were obviously waiting for their ques to say the lines. It irritated me a little but I got over it.
